Mum, you’ve been there through it all
Always standing by my side
Not caring that I’ve grown really tall
And it seems you’re half my size
You taught me the alphabet
From A to B to C
You taught me my manners
To say thank you, and please
You taught me to count up to six
In too many languages to name
Spanish, French, English too
From you, I know all the language tricks
I come to you for homework help
Though you claim to be bad at science
You know the equation for photosynthesis So really,
you’re a liar!
You always say you’re not creative
But you need higher self esteem
You know how to fix things that I’ve broken I love all
your clever schemes
I love you, because it doesn’t matter
Whatever bad thing I’ve done
We shout and scream and yell and fight
But I know everything will be alright
Because you, are my Mum
And you, mini Mama, very very mini Mama
You really are the best one out there
Or at least, that I have come across
So I need to thank you, right now
For everything you’ve done
I hope you know how much I love
I’m so lucky, you’re my mum
